Patrick received a clear ultimatum from his parents: “Get married, or lose everything that matters to you.” Though this threat had been repeated to him countless times, Patrick had yet to comply. In fact, he was strongly opposed to the idea. He wasn’t ready for marriage—more accurately, he didn’t want to get married. But he couldn’t ignore what he stood to lose if he defied his parents’ wishes.
However, the situation shifted when the Moagis, his wealthy and powerful family, became embroiled in a bitter conflict with a family of modest means. The Moagis used their status to gain the upper hand, flaunting their fortune and resorting to intimidation to break the will of the Kobamelos, the poorer family. Initially, the Kobamelos were taken aback, overwhelmed by the display of wealth and power, and they backed off.
But fate had other plans. Once again, the Kobamelos found themselves face-to-face with the Moagis. This time, however, they were resolute—determined to stand their ground and refuse to be intimidated. As the conflict escalated, and Patrick taking the centre stage in the tussle, neither side wavered. Both families remained determined, and as the twists and turns unfolded, their struggle led to a shocking and unexpected conclusion.
